of the
COASTAL EMPIRE HISTORY HUNTER'S ASSOCIATION
ARTICLE 1: CONDUCT
Section 1 : Members of this organization are expected to conduct themsleves in such a manner as to be respectful of others, the property of others and to exhibit an honorable code of ethics.

Section 2 : In the event that a member's conduct, found to be contrary and/or detrimental to the well being of the orginization, may be brought before the club; and, a motion may be made or the expultion of the offending member. Cause for expultion shall be demonstrated and a vote made by means of secret ballot shall be taken by the majority present at the meeting. An expelled member may not reapply for membership in this orginization, nor shall he or she attend any monthly meetings or club activities.


ARTICLE II: DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section 1 : It shall be the duty of the president to preside over all meetings of this organization, ensure all regulations of this orginization are implemented, and preform all the duties pertaining to this office.

Section 2 : The Vice-President shall assist the President; and in his/her absence perform all the duties of the president, in addition to those duties to which he/she has been assigned or empowered to perform.

Section 3 : The Secretary shall take the minutes of all proceedings and maitain records of the same. He/she shall maintain all corespondence of the club and preform such other duties as his/her office may require.

Section 4 : The Treasurer shall collect all dues, recieve and disperse all monies of the organization and preserve complete records of all transactions. The Treasurer shall also maintain the bank account in the name of the club. All checks shall be drawn on the signature of the Treasurer.

Section 5 : The Sergeant-of-arms shall ensure all members leave the drink and tip money where needed at the end of each meeting and preform any other duties that the President may request pertaining to the collection of monies owed to the club.

Section 6 : The Editor of the news letter shall report the meetings, events and any other news worthy of attention of the club. The newsletter shal be mailed immediately prior to the next meeting.


ARTICLE III: ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Section 1 : The election and installation of the officers shall take place at the first meeting of the new year in January.

Section 2 : The elected officers shall serve for one year or until new officers are selected.

Section 3 : All officers shall be elected by a majority vote.

Section 4 : Should an officer resign during the course of a fiscal year, the club members shall vote on a member to assume the office vacated for the remainder of that term.

Section 5 : No nomination shall be accepted unless the canidate is present and/or has indicated consent to nomination an willingness to serve if elected.


ARTICLE IV: COMMITTEES

Section 1 : Committees shall be formed as deemed necessary. The presidentshall be a member of all committees.

Section 2 : A committee chairman having been selected, shall appoint committee members as he/she deems necessary to perform the function of that committee.

Section 3 : Committee chairman shall deliver an oral progress report at general meetings as necessary.


ARTICLE V : AMENDMENT

Upon due notice, these By-laws may be amended at any general meeting of the club by a two-thirds (2/3) vote.
